Sportsgirl, my client, provided a mood board for their Summer 2026 collection with the heading βFruit Market.β The moodboard had a large emphasis on fruit illustrations (strawberries, cherries) and patterns including pinstripes.
I approached my design concept with these empahases in mind, beginning with hand drawm patterns of gingham and a mesh-like cross hatch style. These patterns are meant to reflect a picnic blanket and fruit bags respectively (see my Knock Note design for a bag of oranges). I then incorporated pencil illustrations of fruit using Adobe photoshop, adjusting the hues of the background patterns according to visual harmony.
The result of these efforts is what feels like groceries retrieved from the market, ripe for savouring at a summer picnic!
