Tarot with Anna - Poster and Business Card Design
At the beginning of 2026 I was commissioned to design business cards for my friend Anna, who specialises in tarot reading. She operates her business at a fairy shop called Myths and Legends in Gisborne. She wanted something ornate, with references to 1980's retro fantasy aesthetics, particularly The Last Unicorn (1982, dir. Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass). I achieved this by incorporating grain and subtle outer glow to a variety of typefaces. Finally, I offered a bonus poster design.
Refinement of an initial border/frame concept.
This frame features all the suits of the tarot deck: swords, pentacles, cups and wands.
I also used this calligraphic script "Ronde Character" for the masthead of my design: TAROT.
